Overview
Speak
In the past few years a number of Camden schools have worked on the development of oracy and believe that speaking and listening skills are fundamental to success in both learning and life. The impact of this work has already been seen in the inspiring presentations at the Oracy Conference last March and the brilliant input to the Heads’ Conference in June from William Ellis boys.
Listen
The key aim of the Hub is to offer the opportunity for all schools to get involved in this work and to develop an oracy framework. It will offer the opportunity for participants to join the Camden Oracy Leaders programme working in partnership with Voice 21, the Unicorn Theatre and Cambridge University.
Learn
The year-long programme combines deep pedagogical knowledge with planning tools, action research groups, peer critique and resources to support the practical application of oracy in class across subject areas and throughout schools in both the primary and secondary sectors.
